After readeing a lot of the posts of toy guns, I decided to put in a word about Airsoft.Airsoft is like paintball but much better, it shoots little rubber bee-bees that dont hurt as much as paintballs. Airsoft guns are real guns! They changed the guns to be able to shoot the bee-bees. You can get tracers, blanks (I think), extra clips, silencers! They are kind of expensive though, but if your going for realism its worth it! They use Airsoft in lots of actual movies too... http://www.airsoft.net/ http://www.magsairsoft.com/ Here are two pages for Airsoft. I dont remember the main page url though.. Oh yeah, Big Lots is a good place to get toy guns. I got two MP-5's there!

Ok, just a few corrections. Airsoft guns shoot hard plastic BB's. They can hurt, and can make you bleed as well as taking an eye out. They are NOT, I repeat NOT made from real guns at all. And unless you find a japanese model gun (which isn't airsoft) then you cannot shoot blanks. |

AirSoft Guns are fantastic for films, unfortunately there's one huge drawback, they often times can be as expensive if not more so than getting a Blank Firing weapon. Which doesn't make any sense at all to me, but even at discount wholesales a 9mm Barretta Cost me $175 for a blank firing model and nearly $200 for the AirSoft Model, What's the deal with that? However, the trade of is they're much much safer, and obviously there's no age restriction. They even build huge Gattling Guns that are exact to the last detail which use battery packs to fire the pellets. Goto http://www.wolfs-lair.co.uk/ if you'd like to Gawk at just some of the realism of these guns. It's unfounded, but the prices are staggering, also note this is a UK retailer, there are much cheaper US retailers, such as http://www.domainairsoft.com. But that UK site has an image for virtually every model for you to drool over. Note, the spring loaded models do no have the blowback function, only the Gas Propelled or Blowback models have that feature. The spring loaded models do allow you to cock them and have a very real looking clip. The battery models I have not gotten a hold of yet, so I can't comment on those. Also, I want to note that a few years back a couple toymakers create guns with blowback tops, they didn't fire anything and the holes were plugged (Easily solved with a drill), and most of them were battery powered and had really annoying sound effects play for gun shots when fired. I believe it might have been during the Desert Storm Campaign since the model generally found in stores was a Desert eagle and it was painted to desert colored. (Extremely cheesy, but nothing a can of flat black spray paint couldn't fix) Last I want to make a note that I'm going to compile a little document I'll put up from all the solutions posted here on Likeastory, and all the ideas it sparked in my head to answer pretty much every friggin question we've all asked at one point or another plus ones you might not have asked yet =) I'll keep ya posted. ------------------ --- Ghent Endor Productions, Inc.
