Just a quick note to everyone who doesn't realize it. If you happen to realize you've posted in the wrong forums or if you inadvertently post double you can always remove it yourself. You simply use the icon at the top of your message that has the paper and pencil to go in and remove the doubled message or for that matter make changes to your own post. But use it wisely only if you double post or put something in the wrong place. That's about all you can do with it anyway.Just for everyone's information. FXMan |

Jeff, Is there a way we can move the posts into a different forum WITH the reply's along with it or do we have to delete our posts (can we? I haven't had reason to try yet.) and repost? Sometimes, the topic I start with gets changed in mid post and I end up starting all over or editing it and starting a second. Just curious as to how much we can do on our own to keep the workload off you guys. ------------------ Hence, loathed Melancholy, Of Cerberus, and blackest Midnight born, In Stygian cave forlorn, 'Mongst horrid shapes, and shrieks, and sights unholy. -- L'Allegro, John Milton |

Hey SeerSavant,The only thing members can do is to edit their own posts or remove them. This means if you post an answer to someone else's post, all you get to do is remove your own response. If YOU created the post, I'm not sure if you can remove it if it's the top one in the thread. I don't think so because that then wipes out all responses by anyone else. Not sure but I'll check on this. As for moving your posts to different forums only the Moderators can do this. At this point, there are only two Moderators - myself and Critter - along with Webmaster Dale who obviously can cover all the bases. Too many hands in the pot would create confusion and potential problems. Critter and I are good friends which is why we can coordinate if need be. IF Dale had too many Moderators it could get out of hand easily. The workload isn't that bad believe it or not. Sometimes it gets more involved than at other times but so far it's nothing we've not been able to handle. If you want something moved to another forum, E-Mail Critter, myself or Webmaster Dale and one of us will gladly move it where you want it if it's sensible and reasonable to do so. Again, I don't think you can delete the topmost post in a thread even when it's yours. But I'll find out and let you know. Until then, E-Mail one of us directly and we will do what we can to help you out in these kinds of situations. Further if people would keep their responses ON TOPIC you wouldn't have to move what digresses into another subject entirely at times. I understand what you mean. So if people would just stick to the subject or start a whole new thread themselves, life would be soooo much nicer on here with less and less to do.
