I need a fully poseable camera crane/boom for doing my stop motion claymations. Something to hold up a digital camcorder and is real stable. Does anybody know where I can get plans to build one, or buy one?

welcome to our sick little family.

if you search the boards and archives (the link is just under the "post reply" button on this page, search for cranes, booms, stop motion. one of those is likely to get you a link, if you cant find something to your likeing, just email me and i'll send you some basic crane plans that you may be able to adapt to stop motion

A heavy duty tripod with a bag of weights slung underneath from the central column always did me fine.

Make sure the floor its on is concrete or similar, floorboards DO move, believe me.

Have fun.
