You need to define in a little more detail what kind of fly system you're looking for, what your plans for use are, what your set up is to use it (is it in a theater or free standing outdoors), and how much you have to spend on it. From what little I know, it's VERY expensive to buy and rig one up safely without having an inspector come in and check the rigging work that is done with the installation. There are a few families whose expertise is going around the world setting up fly systems for varied uses and it's not something that comes cheap. The materials used might not be that expensive, but the insurance to do fly routines is through the roof. As I recall you can't even rig a legitimate fly system up without having an inspector come in and look it over, plus you have to have a licensed expert teach the people who will operate it, how to use it properly, on top of the liability insurance you have to get to do it. I think you have to have a MILLION dollars of liability insurance or some ungodly amount like that. And it's EXPENSIVE to come by if you can even get an insurer to write the policy. At least this is what I've been told. I know of a few schools and community theater groups who have produced the PETER PAN stage version and it's WAY costly for those groups but they usually have contributors underwrite the cost and since they're non-profit arts organizations, they are often granted professional discounts.

But maybe someone else knows for sure. This is just some things I've heard and been told. Good luck.
