Does anyone know where I can find tutorials/insctructions on how to make realistic breakaway sets and other props?(ex. chairs, tables, 2x4s, etc.) ------------------

Polyfoam ("styrofoam") and balsa wood are often used in breakaway or stunt props. Chairs and table can have their legs removed and attached with a touch of glue, toothpicks, tiny wood wedges, etc so that they are barely held in place and the lghtest blow will dislodge them.Remember that even with breakaway props, actors are stil striking each other with objects, so these are stunts. Stunts must be:
* carefully coordinated and choreographed precisely
* practiced over and over at slow speed, working gradually up to full speed practice
* approached with safety in mind as the top priority, above even realism. Training in a martial art for techniques of breaking falls is HIGHLY reccommended. Be careful, be safe, and have fun with it. ------------------
