Well, let's see, I can think of about 5000 questions about saucers, and another 5000 for laser/ray guns. How bout some more detail. What do you want to do with/to these objects? ------------------ Rex Winfrey Critter Creation Shop

critter, its good to see you're around still. none of those pesky tornados were bad enough to mess with you or yours i hope. R stubbs in case you didnt notice there is a search feature, you may be able to find some ideas and suggestions for what you're looking for in the archives, other boards, this forum.
saucers are pretty easy to make/fake, all depends on what your vision of a saucer is, rayguns can be done in post, well the ray at least. later Tom

Well, not to long ago I made an alien movie called Fatal Effect, and i have no special effects programs. This is what i did. I first built a small cockpit, not to big, you can build one for under 50 dollars. Then when i was done, i tried to think of how to add stars, so i took some ply wood, spray painted it black, drilled holes in it, then put small chritmas lights in the holes, and like magic, i had space. Then I wondered ho could i make it look like the modles are really flying through space, so i took a table, and put black cloth on it, and on the backround, i then took fishing string, tied it to the ship, and magic markered the string black. Then i took some glow in the dark white out, and made stars on the cloth. I got the lighting just right by using lamps etc. Then I moved the camera around the ship and it made it look like it was moving. I dont know if this will help too much but give it a try, it worked for me. |
