If I'm not mistaken (which I probably am dammit) the term spaghetti western come from the fact that most of those westerns were directed and produced by Italians. I'm sure "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" was. Not sure about Fistful of Dollars and The Quick and The Dead. |

That is correct, sir! quote:

Fistful of Dollars was another Sergio Leoni classic. quote:
and The Quick and The Dead.
Not a spaghetti western, unless sam raimi is part italian.-nick

The best spaghetti western, in my opinion, is "Once Upon A Time In The West." It had Charles Bronson, Jason Robards, and Henry Fonda, among others, and it rocked!I suggest you rent it. For one thing, it could give you the starting point for your spoof. Charles Bronson takes over for Clint Eastwood as the nameless, tortured gunslinger, and his trademark is a harmonica. I can just imagine a nameless, tortured Woody doll, whose trademark is a... kazoo? I think the plot can be anything, as long as you include the spaghetti western "elements," like the anti-hero, the blaring soundtrack, the explosive gunshots, the drawn-out showdown sequences, etc. Good luck!
