A goofy super hero trying to defeat a invisble guy

How about....the super hero is the only person that can see the villain? So when they're fighting out in a public place, all people see is the goofy looking guy falling all over the place and stuff. And then maybe the invisible guy gets away and the hero is chasing him up a flight of stairs, and on one landing a group of people is standing there talking. The super hero says "Hey, did you see a guy running this way?", and all the people are like "Nope, sorry". Then the hero is like "Thanks!", and continues to follow the villain up the stairs.

Okay, stupid idea.
