Topic: Which idea sounds better?

1. A drug-lord finds a black mask which transforms him into something evil and it's up to a group of scientist to find the white mask and summon it before it's to late.2. A black box flies from a warphole in space onto earth and out comes 5 evil soliders and 5 good soliders and an all out brawl begin on earth. 3. A group of soliders are sent into the woods to locate the other team which is missing and they find out that something evil lies in the woods and they must try to survive and report back to base before it's too late. 4. in the year 1465 a woman burries an ancient evil and it is waken in the future and it takes over a man's body and begins to cause chaos on a small town. 5. Any suggestions I know these ideas aremt that good but i'm just a beginner, the first movie i began to write was a resident evil type movie, would that be better, iiiiii neeeeeddd ffeeeeeeddddd back pllzzzzzzz n e one good real good! ------------------

I'd have to say #3, because you could turn it into a survival film, and I really like survival films. But hey, that's just me. |

I like number 3 the best too.But I had another idea sparked by the #2 choice. What if all those flight recorders that they put in airplanes (also known as "black boxes") were actually of evil themselves and were causing planes to crash. Maybe that's something to build a story around. --Trey |

i agree with everyone else, but i think you would need a better conclusion than to report back to base.but that's just me.  |

How bout: A plane crashes mysteriously. When the black box is recovered, they find that the entire plane had temporarily been to a different dimension. Just something for your brain to stew in. My Two Bits, Bread |

My take:1 and 4 - most original. 2 = He-Man, 3 = Predator. Hard to find a new twist on those ideas. 1 could be interesting because there could be lots of little moral struggles. The mask could amplify the drug lords bad-ness. Maybe the other drug dealers now have to work with the cops and scientists to help end the evil. 4 has potential because you can do almost anything with the idea. Come up with different ideas for the 'evil': why its being buried, how this woman gets control of it, what exactly it does when it gets loose, why does this guy dig it up, etc. Plus the semi-isolated small town works well for horror. |

I like number one the most, but more importantly...Any one of these has potential as a bang-up film. Since you are going to be the one who has to to put all the work into the project, which one do you like the best? #3 is EXACTLY the plot of Predator.I like #1, but would change it a bit. Have the scientists fail to stop the black mask, but then a supernatural cult explains it to them and that they need the white mask to stop it. The scientists help them find the white mask, but it was just a trick. The white mask is another evil entitiy that the cult wanted to summon and they had summoned the black one in the fist place. So now the scientists have to figure out how to stop 2 evil things. |

I personally like the black box idea, maybe it could land like a small meteorite. The only thing is, instead of a simple box, perhaps something more complicated, like a chinese puzzle box (Not shades of Hellraiser, but a long rectangular box, black like onyx or marble) inside is the enigma, whatever is in it, never show it, but have anyone who comes into contact with it... the box brings the more evil side of his/her nature out in full force...------------------
