Growing up in Smallville USA as Clark Kent, Superman would have known that not everyone had super strength or the ability to fly. But how long was it before he figured out that not everyone had X-ray vision? If it was not until late in his teen years this might have caused some problems for Clark. After all, to Clark the Playboy centerfold would not have been anything that special. This might have lead some of the guys to suspect that Clark was not all that..uh..masculine..Check out this scene. (Remember, Lana Lang was Clark's girl friend before he moved to Metropolis and met Lois Lane.)
INT. HALL IN SMALLVILLE HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
BIFF, CLARK and other boys are looking at the latest Playboy. Clark is more interested in Lana Lang as she approaches wearing her new cheerleader sweater.
BIFF
Hide the magazine! Here comes Lana.
LANA
Hi, Biff. Hi, Clark. How do you like my new sweater?
CLARK
They're very nice, Lana.
LANA
Uh. Thanks.
Lana walks off.
BIFF
What's with you, Clark? Here we got a new Playboy and you're more interested in Lana's sweater.
CLARK
Oh. Was she wearing a sweater? I hadn't noticed.

Do you ever get the feeling that Clark's undressing you with his eyes?
