well, my idea is as follows (GIANT CLICHE)a secret project called fear, from the united soviet nations(thats russia in the future) escapes and goes nuts and after the U.S. this leads to many deaths and a fight between project fear and its american counterpat "chaos", both of them are genetically bio-engineered and somewhat superhuman... so what do you think? i would appreciate any ideas and help on how to get my idea started thanks in advance

Well, as you said, it is a pretty big cliche. If you knew that why wouldn't you want to do something else that, oh I don't know, ISN'T cliche?Originality isn't that hard, why do an average everyday story rather than a new idea? I'm sure you could think of something. ------------------ I once had 509 posts...but now I don't. |

Ah, the future, that's where we'll spend the rest of our time fXXXXXX up. There are right and wrong ways to do a future movie, mostly wrong ones. A lot of future settings seem pale and cheesy compared to the precedent of the past and present. Why not try to squeeze it into the recent past. Something going down during the fall of the USSR between 1989 and 1992. You'd have to do some research, probably at a real library and not just the internet but you'd be suprised how enriching a little history is as source material. There were rebels, reactionaries, revoloutionaries. People were losing track of nuclear warheads. Mini-dictators, like the recently defeated Slobovadan Milosovich were trying for power. The Russian mafia was learning to abuse the newfound chaos and freedom. Everybody was losing the power, gaining the power or trying to shift the power. It could be a secret, behind the lines kind of thing with lies and coverups. Just my suggestion, but I think it ain't too bad. A properly misplaced superweapon could go just about anywhere. What's the point of something "somewhat superhuman". Does it have the strength of four ordinary men? Five? Faster than a well thrown football, more powerful than a bumpercar, able to leap a largeish shed in a single bound. You wouldn't need an equally powerful superbeing to stop this when a well equiped swat team would do. The "Fear" bioweapon would either need to be stupidly powerful or have some weird ace in the hole that made it impossible to catch except by some equally opposed superhuman. ------------------ We came here to find the American dream. Now that we're right in the vortex you want to quit? You must realize, we've found the main nerve. -Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas |

thanks for those ideas, but i ve decicded to go with something more medieval, i have this idea of a guy questing around and other ppl join him (like a diablo 2 meets return to krondor kinda rpg thing)if u can add to this, plz do. Details: there are some magic effects, some fights with people and some with monsters, also, a lot of exploring and trading/camping and stuff. P.S. the hero's name is Kaeson ------------------ "I am Mars, the god of War, and i'll cut you down". | |
