Hi! I'm writing the plot for a short horror flick (20 min.) involving a homeless being kidnapped by a pharma company. They want him to undergo some drug testing (because they have to bring out a new product pretty fast and need some testing done). They chose the homeless, knowing no one will notice it if the disappears.
During the testing, the homeless passes away. Suddenly, he comes to life again as a zombie. The medecine they've given him has transformed him into a reckless psycho. I plan to shoot most of it in the woods (where he'll be dwelling after escaping the lab) and he will kill people in horrible ways, (it's supposed to be fairly gore, but still credible).
Till now, I think the plot lacks of background. Could anyone give me some input on this? Thank you very much! Your comments would be appreciated!

Are a lot of people going to walk through thse woods for no reason or is it a park of some kind.
Makbe the strange reaction is caused by the experimental medicine mixing with an illegal narcotic that the homeless guy has been taking.
How do you plan to resolve it??
I like the idea of the drug-narcotic interaction!
In Switzerland forests are much smaller than the ones you have in the US. They're often crossed by roads and on Sundays you can see people going there for a walk.
The psycho guy is supposed to interact with about 8-9 people.
One scene will show a couple whose car has broken down on a forest road. The guy opens the car's trunk to get a couple of ropes and leaves the car to get some help (to get his car pulled away to a garage). The girl stays in the car and turns up the volume of the car stereo. The psycho is lurking behind a bush and watches the guy walk away. He follows and attacks him. The psycho goes to the car and scares the **** out of the girl who attempts to start the car. Eventually she succeeds and drives away fast. But she doesn't notice that the psycho tied up her guy against a tree and attached the guy's leg to the car with the second rope... With the car stereo pouring out loud music, she can't hear her guy screaming. Neither does she notice the grotesque sound of the attached leg bumping on the street as she tries to escape...

I forgot to answer your question about how the flick is supposed to end. I guess the psycho will be gunned down by a cop. As normal ammo would not harm the guy, the cop would end up using explosive ammo against him.
In the end, you'd see the psycho bursting into pieces. A smoking shoe would fall down near the cop. Just as everyone thought that it was all over, the cop stumbles over some dead wood and falls onto a used syringe (the one used by the narco-psycho). The infected syringe in stuck in the cop's hand and he swears. He goes back to his car to drive to the hospital. As he drives, he starts breathing heavily, just like the former psycho... FADE TO BLACK.

No, I guess he won't be a trash picker anymore. He'll be crushing his victims' heads and eat their brains. I'd like him to do this on a routine basis.
I'm also looking for bizarre ways he could kill people. So if you come up an original idea, tell me. I want him to 'work' on someone with a jackhammer...
Oh, ooh I just had the greatest idea. The pharmaceutical company develops a substitute for some harmone or other rare important chemical in the human body, maybe something that encourages tissue regeneration. Maybe he's on PCP or metylanphenamines (crystal meth) these have been known to cause psychotic episodes and superhuman strength and pain resistance.
The homeless junkie recieves a megadose of this stuff he goes into shock and "dies". He comes back to life when the chemicals mix in a weird way and he's super high, the ultimate rush. He feels no pain, won't go into shock and dosn't sleep. He also heals way faster than a normal human.
Before he died he overheard that this chemical simulates some thing from a gland in such and such place in the human body. The researcher was trying to calm him down saying "Oh yeah, it just like what occurs naturally in s poduces in your...." whatever. Whenever he's coming down off this super high he kills somebody removes whatever organ produces the stuff naturally, grinds it up mixes it with some PCP and drinks it down.
He could be a whole new type of monster, not just some lame science zombie. He'll be in a constant hyper-aliveness. In a laughing extacy as he tears people apart. He'll look like sXXt and be all soaked in blood from his injures but he'll won't give a damn about it.
Get the right actor to play this and it will be a monster to remember.

It sounds like you have the plot pretty well in hand.
I have an idea about how he gets from the pharma company to the woods. They inject him with the drug and he dies, so they drive his body out the woods to dump it. You could even have him come back to life while in the trunk of the car, so when the bad guys open it, he jumps out and eats thier brains!
It sounds like a lot of fun!

Maybe the pharmaceutical company could just be an illegal drug lab trying to test a new drug. I've been browsing a few websites to check the effects of PCP. It looks scary. So maybe we could make it some 'SUPER-PCP'?
The junkie could experience the same effects than PCP users (with a 'gain' of 250%). I'd even like some greenish foam coming out of his mouth when he agonizes and his heart beats at 200 bpm... Showing him with a white contact lens in an eye could be cool, too.
I like the transition from the lab to the forest. The junkie could kill the driver and his assistant in the middle of the forest as the two of them try to get rid of the junk's body. I'd like him to kill them using something he found in the trunk of the car (it's a Grand Cherokee, so lots of stuff fit in there...). Still, I'd like to avoid the chainsaw or similar devices. It's supposed to be original (what?! a screwdriver?).
Yeah, a screwdriver would work. You would expect a toolbox in the back of the car, so anything out of there eg. jack, large spanner , hammer etc. Wounds from blunt tools can often be more disturbing than your average knife etc. if that's what you're going for. Also if the lab guys are taking the bum out into the woods to dispose of (maybe dismember?) his 'body' they would have brought a shovel. I would definitely avoid the chainsaw...
