My work uses ATI All in wonder and they say it's great. I jsut bought a DC10 and it works fine for me. Also, I'm going to very soon buy a video/graphics accelerator. since ati does both, should i just ditch the dc10 and put the ati in?I was going to buy an ATI Radeaon 32mb 3d acclerator. Someone please tell me that the Radeoan is far better than the all-in-wonder and that i didn't waste my money buying the dc10, because if the radzaeon isn't as good, then i'd have to buy the all-inwonder, which would make the dc10 useless. you see my dilemma? |

buy a geforce, some models do both too, and they are far better for games and capture than any ATI one... |

slashdot.org linked me to a site where they did really extensive research on all the graphics cards. i didn't read to much into the details, but they said the greatest one out there was ati radoeaoen 64 |

ahhhhhhhh. never never never seriously. dont buy a GAME card to do video-cutting. dont save money on the wrong end. ati-cards in general SUCK (driver-wise) all their drivers are instable and often party incompatible. (not with games, i talk about serious applications, like 3dmax, premiere.....) they tend to crash them a lot. in addition a game-card with tv out and in should not replace your capture card. better get a good ge-force (or oxygene even if you like ebay ) and get a good vid-capture-card. |

hey that's exactly what i needed to know. i need a card that will boost 3d max and premiere, as well as games. my capture card will stay where it is, then. so this ge-force.... i should look this up... |

Even if you wanted to use the radeon for gaming it has broken fsaa(full scene anti-aliasing)on every game tested. It won't be good for anything till they get new drivers. |

If you already have a DC10 and it works fine then just use that until you go digital. And get a Geforce 2 for gaming.I got a Voodoo 3 for gaming and a Pyro for video. A separate card for each purpose, in my opinion thats the way to go. And anything is better than an ATI all-in-wonder. I had an ATI card before and I would never get another one. They are so unstable its not funny and like Lippi said, the drivers suck. Usually the drivers that ship with the card don't even work. |

how is dc10 not digital? i thought once tape was off the cassette and onto my computer, that it's digital. i don't have nor need a digital video camera. it would do the same thing i have now. |

With a DC10 you are 'capturing' analog data and converting it into digital data. Where as with digital you are not really capturing at all, its more like copying files from your camera to the computer so you don't get the quality loss you get with analog. |
