I was planning to buy a capture card but I'm not sure how much and what type of memory I would need for about 1 hour of vhs-c video with a studio dc10?

I'd say 15 GB would be sufficiant. You can get one for $100.

dudeeeeeeeee...thats not memory... thats hard drive space...

as far as memory goes 128 is cool , 256 is better , and so on... www.crucial.com kicks butt for some good memory..

as far as hard drive goes ive seen 20 gig 7200 rpm maxtors selling for 100 bucks at compusa...

Really only 15 Gb for 1 hour of Video with a Studio DC10+ ? What about other cards ?

I think, the more ram the better ! PC-133 ram at least !

He's obviously talking about hard drive space because he says "One hour of VHS-c video" I dont know any RAM that stores "one hour" of anything.

Since he's shooting on VHS-C, he doesn't need to capture at the highest settings, because his input isn't the quality of the highest settings.
