I was planning to buy a capture card but I'm not sure how much and what type of memory I would need for about 1 hour of vhs-c video with a studio dc10?------------------

I'd say 15 GB would be sufficiant. You can get one for $100.------------------

dudeeeeeeeee...thats not memory... thats hard drive space...  as far as memory goes 128 is cool , 256 is better , and so on... www.crucial.com kicks butt for some good memory.. as far as hard drive goes ive seen 20 gig 7200 rpm maxtors selling for 100 bucks at compusa... - eddie - |

Really only 15 Gb for 1 hour of Video with a Studio DC10+ ? What about other cards ?I think, the more ram the better ! PC-133 ram at least ! |

He's obviously talking about hard drive space because he says "One hour of VHS-c video" I dont know any RAM that stores "one hour" of anything.Since he's shooting on VHS-C, he doesn't need to capture at the highest settings, because his input isn't the quality of the highest settings. ------------------
