I purchased a Dazzle DV-Editor (waste of money) and now I can't get rid of it. It badgers my sound completely. Can anyone tell me something about Studio DC10+? How does the sound work with it? Is it compatable with Paintshop Pro and Premiere......? Thanks!

Well, I dont know about the DC10 (I have the DC30) but like most pinnacle capture cards everything is the same so i will try my best here. The DC30 (a fine piece of well tuned, masterful craftsmanship) has 2 audio inputs and outputs (left and right-der) and 2 sets of video inputs and outputs (analog (or "composite" if you will-slang...perhaps not) and your standard S-VHS.

Uh hem

You capture video and audio with the select choice of inputs and then output them back to a tv or vcr or combo. My DC30 has never failed to capture in stereo and playback in great stereo. Sound quality is excellent. Any more questions, or am I annoying as @&#@?

The DC10+ is a good card for its price.
It doesn't have any sound capabilities, so you need to use your sound card (which sometimes results in a slight desynchronization with the video).
Even though it is cheap, you will need to consider buying some extra software such as Premier (sucks) or Ulead MediaStudio Pro (good) because the program which comes with the card is only for real amateurs.

It is fully compatible with MSP (not sure about Premiere), if you render our project with the default settings (same codec, same resolution...)

Hope this helped!

Get the DC10+, its the best for the price. All you need is an RCA to minijack adapter from Radio Shack to plug your audio in/out of your camera to your line in/out. DC10+ is not a POS, if it was so would your DC30. they're exactly the same except the DC30 has audio plugs. Hell, I use DC30 drivers with my DC10+!
