you can always import the file as a .flm into photoshop, then smudge his face up. |

You can do it in AFX very easily. Just create a new solid layer (with black background) on the top of your video layer and apply a circular mask to it. You'll get a black spot which you can place over someone's head. Now you can animate this spot by hand so that it obscures the head all the time. If you've got the "Pro" version, you can even track someones head, so you wouldn't need to animate it by hand. If you want to blur the face instead of adding a black circle, you could use an adjustment layer. Just take a look at the online help... bye------------------ *** sorry for my bad english *** [This message has been edited by TerryGilliam (edited 11-27-2000).] |

Ok-In premiereMake sure you have 3 video tracks available-track1, track2, track3. Take only the footage that will have the blur in it (if there are only parts of a clip that have blurring in it, only use that part) and stick it in track 1. Now copy that clip and paste it directly above the first copy in track2. Click on this and select track matte then select reverse. Make a title with a black circle. Place this in track 3, directly above the other 2 and stretch it out so it laste for the duration of the clip. Select a transpareny that makes the circle dissappear (like black alpha matte in premiere i think). Add a lot of blur to the black circle. Then select the track 2 copy of the clip and add blur to it as well. For the final step, add motion to the title of the black dot and have it follow the persons face around. This should work, unless I loused up a step somewhere. -Stuart [This message has been edited by Vision Productions (edited 11-27-2000).] |

Thanks Vision Productions. It worked great except it was 2 hours of work, for just one person. Is there any other way that can be faster. I need to do areas like the mall and on the street.-Jamaal www.Jackassery.com |

Why was it 2 hours of work? Just because of rendering time or just because your not used to doing it? |

It was two hours of work because of the motion work that I had to do. |

Motion tracking is always a lot of work-theres no real easy way around it in order for it to look good. |

If you don't want to invest much time, you should use an application that supports "tracking". AfterEffects Pro has this feature... |
