I'm getting the DC-10, but first, I want to make sure I have a free PCI slot. So where is that located, and how do I make sure I have a free one on my PC? Thanks.

crack open your puter, and spill its guts so you can see the mother board.
there should be a series of whitish slots about 10 cm's long, give or take.

ISA slots are long and black..
AGP slots are kinda short and brown , a little off center kinda in the case ,and their is only one of them ..

PCI slots are short and white... if your computer is less then 5 years old you should have one or two , but they may be used up..if your computer is less than 3 years old you should have open pci slots depending on if you have installed any other cards in your computer..

whats the name brand and model # of your computer?

I have a sound card and a modem, that's just about all I have inside except for the basics!

you should have an open pci slot..but what your processor power and hard drive speed...it might be inefficient for video editing...

Hmm...you may need a newer computer. I have a 266 with 96 megs of ram and have no problems. But my machine is at the bottom of what you would want to do video editing/capturing. I'd hold off on trying to capture video if i were you. You may be dissapointed.
