Here's the deal:
I have a DC10+
I have 160 MB Ram
I have a built in video card on my motherboard that has 1 MB video RAM- thats my problem

Video is still choppy. What PCI video card under about $150 handles 2D well? I want it mainly for video and a little for playing Half-Life. Voodoo? ATI? Nvidia? ???

Please help.

dont get ati. waste of money, whatever you do dont get that!!

i have a voodoo3 myself, and i have yet to find a game that i cant play on it.

they just came out with voodoo5 i think.

my opinion, get the nvidia geforce, or a voodoo chipset.

wont be disappointed!

Or if your looking for something really cheap, but still really good - go for an NVIDIA TNT2.. They are fantastic for their price - but I still love my Geforce.

Yeah, i have a older tnt and it works fine and graphics look clean on it. Im sure you can find that for a reasonable price. Just hope that onboard video doesnt screw you putting in a new card. People i've known have had hell with onboard stuff when upgrading

only thing with nvidia, a lot of older 3d accelerated games don't work on it.

like ff7, i had to search the net for several hours to get a patch for the game to let it run with an nvidia chipset. even then, the chars have no eyes, and it was choppy as hell.

voodoo all the way!
