Are they any good? I saw a website once that claimed they were the best super8 cameras you could get and paid a lot for one. Now I see them selling on ebay for much cheaper than I paid and no one I talk to has ever heard of them. How are their 16mm cameras? |

Beaulieu's are great little cameras! I have only worked with their 16mm cameras and I like them very much. They are wonderful for handheld work and just plain look beautiful and romantic (I know that doesn't matter, but they do)Most people use them with daylight spools but I believe you can attach a 400' mag. They are loud, and should'nt be used for sync recording ( you would need to have it converted) It is a wild camera at heart. I don't believe it has a registration pin. You can use them for slow or fast speed effects and many have interchangable lenses. If you find one in good condition for under $1000.00 I'd buy it! My friend just got one for $500.00! With four lenses! What a steal! (That bastard) If you need to know anything else just ask! |

I recently parted with a Beaulieu 5008S Super 8 camera which I owned for about a year and used often, and I can tell you from personal experience, they are the Cadillac's of the Super 8 camera.-Lil'S ------------------

I can get a Beaulieu R16 for you for about $450. It needs a new battery though. But has 2 angeniuex primes (25mm and 300mm) and a 200 foot external magazine.Email me if you are interested. Regards
