There we go. well, i have got one tough project, and was hoping you guys could help my out. I am making a dinosaur movie, loosely based on the book dinotopia (i dunno if you guys have seen it, but it is a picture book about a castaway family who finds an island of dinos, and the father recodrs it all in a scethbook ,then his son finds the book, and thern the stroy is told, its a great book ,try and find it)
Anyhoo, I need to malke a full, to half scale puppet of a Protoceratops, a Raptor, And possibly hadrosaur or other duckbilled dino. I know its a tall order, but i jsut came into quite a bit of money, and have been wanting to do this for a while.... so?

You can create costumes for technicians to act within, particularly for gross movements.
You can mechanize expressions and subtle movements. This can be accomplished with air bladders, cable controls, hydraulics, or servo motors. Using servo motors that are radio controlled or computer controlled takes you into the realm of animatronics - you may not have the time, skills, or money (this can get REALLY expensive if you're talking about a lot of computer controlled servo movements) to do this, but you can mechanize these puppets or costumes to some degree.
If you really do have a sizeable budget, you would get the best results hiring someone to do this unless you are quite handy with mechanics of this type, and sculpting, molding, skin fabrication, and making underskulls. Factor in the cost of materials added to the price of a skilled artist's labor and the bill can get pretty steep, depending on how good this has to look.

I need from the shouldars up for a raptor, and the frontal portion of a protoceratops (around the size of a pig) most puppets can be limited in movement, but the face nbeeds to be articulated
