I've tried versions 1.5, 1.6beta and 1.6 and whenever I capture footage, it is not displayed on the screen (in the little monitor window) all I get is a black patch with a few green lines. But when I look at what I have captured, it looks fine. Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried the Pinnacle boards but no one responded, hope you guys can help.

It may be that your display settings aren't set to at least 256 color. Or maybe you need a new video card. Hope this helps.

No I dont think it's that, I'm running in High Color (16 bit) and have a RIVA TNT graphics cards which has done nothing but wonders for me, and everything else is working fine. Thanks for the reply anyway though

hmmm...you have it on the right input? that's a weird problem...might want to try capturing with your video editor instead?

Yeah, I've tried both Composite and S-Video just in case (but it's supposed to be Composite)... I'm just using the program that comes with the DC10+ (Studio DC10plus), I've heard for some reason the DC10+ wont work with Premiere and I didn't want to fork out the big bucks and risk it, so other than the one that comes with the card, I have no other editor. Know of any *good* free ones?

I use the DC10+ and Premiere. I have used both to capture, and I have had the same problem. I seem to recall it was the drivers I was using - I got a more recent version (for my 16meg TNT AGP) and everything worked fine. However, there is no way I know of to write to tape from Premiere. You have to use the DC10+ software for that. Otherwise, it works fine.

Do you mean when you output through Premiere, it's all screwed? Or do you mean there's no 'output' feature in Premiere? How do others output with it?

I just mean that you can't use Premiere's WRITE TO TAPE feature with the DC10+, that I know of. The video comes out all jerky. But it doesn't bother me to simply render to an AVI and output it with the DC10+ software. Also, you might have a DC10+ icon in your system tray - pull that up and play around with the settings. And if my memory serves me right, try clicking on the title bar to get some overlay settings. That might solve your problem. I'm at work, so I can't tell you exactly what to do. Good luck.
