BUNKY, REPORTING FROM STUDY HALL

I have a super8 camera with a 37mm (I think) lens. I need an anamorphic lens with at least 2:1.

Why "at least 2:1"? That would give you an aspect ration of 2.66:1 which is really wiiiide. The aspect ratio in theatres is 2.35:1 for which you need a 1.75:1 anamorphic lens.

Then where can I get one that's 1.75:1?

Is anamorphic feasible for super 8? I've never seen that before and I'm kind of curious.

It's feasible all right. Super8sound in Burbank rents (and maybe sells) an anamorphic lens that attaches to a Beaulieu. Oliver Stone used it for portions of Natural Born Killers.
