I went to see a technically amazing production of Rumble Fish (play - not film), at the Warwick Arts Centre, a few days ago -- They used a DVD and video projector to project over the Entire stage (like at the cinema) while the actors were acting. This is someting I have always wanted to do -- to really mix video and stage - and these people really pulled it off. It looked awsome! I was wondering if anyone had any tips on projecting in a similar fashion?? I would love to try it, perhaps for an Alevel Drama piece. Any idea how to avoid using DVD (too expensive) or work with an LCD projector and get the lighting right?? Any ideas? |

I've seen this done at the ny opera house. You'd probably want to use rear projection since you don't need to turn down the frontal lighting s much for that, so that you will be able to get the brightest projection while still being able to light your actors. | |
