Topic: help on native american film

i am making a film soon for english class and need some ideas on how and where to get the costumes and weapons. the main focus of the video will be weapon usage and making. any help would be very much appreciated. and yes, money is an issue.------------------

well, why not do what they did and make the stuff by hand from found items? do a lot of research on what they were made from, haw they were made, then give it a shot, shouldnt cost too much later

I would also look for a reservation in your area. Besides gambling facilities, they will probably have a musuem of some sort, or be able to tell you where to find artifacts on display. This should at least supply you with information and "B" roll for narration sequences.Try a theatre group for costuming ideas. ADOM |

well, the theater group idea would work out, i have one around here. but there are no reservations around where i live. the only reason that i ask is because it is due next week.------------------

What time is it due next week? If it is early, don't worry about a script, just know the culture and customs, and ad-lib. (Just don't take creative liberties). I don't know a lot about Native Americans myself, but I'm sure that some library books would have a lot to say, especially about what they wore.I hope that I've helped you. ------------------

I don't know why I didn't think of this before...look up your local Boyscouts troop. You can probably help them get a badge by having them demonstrate weapon making and use for your film.Check with local schools for contact info. ADOM |
