Well you know Proffessor Knobys face when his spirit comes out of nowhere..........how did they do that.......I read that they used mirrors and flashlights.......but i don't know? |

That would be a smart way to do it. These days kids with computers can do it as an after thought, but in a purist fasion armed only with a 16mm or super 8 or even 35mm mirrors is the way to go. Set the mirror on an angle and have the light beneath the actors face shine and make it appear as though his face is hovering in front of them. Make it clear glass and you can see the background as long as the light source on the actor is very bright it'll show. Watch your camera focus. If you go the mirror route try and find something as reflective as a mirror but maleable so as to create the effect of distorting the ghost face on the fly.------------------
