Does anyone know how to build a video tap or video assist for a super 8 camera?------------------ Do not think...Feel...! |

IMHO, you'd wind up spending a whole lot of money for a cobbled-up rig that wouldn't work all that well. There's a reason why pros spend thousands to get it to work. Not saying it couldn't be done, but you might be better off renting a camera that has a video tap, and saving yourself the frustration.Sarge |

The best thing I could suggest would be to make a custom base for your tripod that could hold 2 camera; your 8mm and a video camera. You could easily get the video camera to see close to what the 8mm sees although you will have some trouble getting them to both zoom at the same time and at the same speed. It would work well enough for general reference and instant playback. |
