I'm new to this whole deal so please fill me in. I have a .avi file I rendered in MSP. Do I need to do anything else to be able to post the vid. file on the web, (so it is at a downloadable size)?-Chase ------------------ Please visit our website here L&W Productions |

yeah, you need to save it as an mpeg or similar file format with compression so that it's small enough to download. a popular format is using DivX, which comresses good with the least loss of image quality. however, people have to have DivX installed (downloadable) on their system to view it. otherwise, consider either MPEG-4 or the Quicktime format .movi'm no pro at web video, hopefully someone else can give you more detailed info...  |

NO!!! dont use quicktime! it sux! DivX;-) or Mpeg1

ok, but don't I have to take it into a seperate compression prog.? or just save it as an mpeg in my editing prog.-Chase |

Anyone know where I can download a standard MPEG codec? Something has stuffed up my current one, and when I try to play an .mpg in Windows Media Payer, I hear sound but see no picture - just black. Please help!------------------ This... is my BOOM stick! |

ulead media studio pro comes with it i know, but otherwise, you'll probably have to buy a program to convert the files. those work a lot better than using an editor to compress them.....my experience anyway  mpegs can be realy huge. divX is great. |
