I didn't know anything else Cool 3D was good for. But anyway, it is really great. You can use any font on your computer. There are a ton of effects you can apply to the text, such as glowing, fire, or motion blur. You can color the text how you want. Make it look like metal, or brick. It's really great. My favorite part about it is that you can save it as a TGA image and have the background be transparent. That way, when you put it in your movie it's perfectly cut out from the background, you don't have to key out the background or anything. This makes it look really nice and professional.

Another good program, is Ulead Software's Video Studio. It has fades, scrolling, and other types of transitions. You can not do the rolling credits, but opening title shots, this works wonders. You can also use this program is you wanted, to make subtitles, captions, or other text effects. On screen, the texts may seem blocky and pixelated, but on a tv screen, they are cyrstal clear and very sharp.
