Well I've found a gold mine at the school. 256 ram, 2 19" monitors and nearly endless hard drive space on an Apple computer that rarely gets used. Its only used to run Final Cut Pro and no one seems to have any interest in learning it. Will this program along with Photoshop be capable of making some good looking CGI? My other options are to use Premiere and After Effects on a MUCH slower computer. I think 32 ram and a pentium 166. |

what exactly are you trying to do? final cut isn't really the best for compositing, and it can't really do anything CGI-wise. it's an editing program, not a 3d, paint, or animation program.------------------ Monkey Sea Entertainment ------------------------- Moviemakers Portal (moviemaking-only search engine) |

Final Cut Pro is the finest editing program made with the possible exception of speed razor. it has 72 filters and can do things that you won't believe for more information go to www.2-pop.com this sight is a discussion group that deals specifically with FCP if you have that system available to you and don't learn and use it you nuts. i went and paid a lot of money to get what you have availible to you for free. | |
