Well, there must be a way to make a teleportation effect with a comp....
EG:
Scorpion from MK teleporting to another part of the earth........or what ever....So if you guys know a nice and ez way to show teleportation.......Reply ...Please and Thank you!  |

well, the easiest way is to NOT use a computer. lock the camera down, shoot the scene with the actor, shoot it without the actor, fade from source a to source b. to add the classic star trek effect shoot through a glass with some glitter in it
should be pretty much the same with a computer shoot with, shoot without make sparkle effect fade from a to b in premiere while overlaying the sparkes

Do you mean having the background sucking him in, or like startrek dissovle effect? |

you can do it on the computer too, but it's like crazy lou's idea.lock the camera down and shoot the area without the actor. then, put the actor in, and film him. then take both clips into premiere or whatever you use, and super impose the actor clip over the background, and just fade him out. i think you have MSP, and i'm not too sure how to do it with that, but it's a snap in premiere! |

hey i did this ages ago and it looked great!
really easy too!
what i did was shoot a blank scene then i filmed the action eg. actor spinning aroundhehe i imported both these into my editing software and did a simple verticle wipe
then i exported this move and took it into a program called illusion i think you can find it at http://www.coolfun.com/
whats great about that is using the particle emmiters you can create a totally original effect it is great i wish i could post my movie i made |
