Okay, I have a question. I own a soundblaster Live! And I am finding the enviromental audio enviroment thingies really cool! (the things to make you sound like a chipmunk etc.) is there any way to record the sound like this? I have tried, and it just records like your normal voice and only plays it funny when you change the environment, how can I actually make a .wav etc. file that has the wierd voice on it (for purpose of putting in my animated movie etc...)

Thanks,
Mark

hey. I dont usually check this thread, as I dont have any computer capture devices, but I do know the answer to this post.

to record with an enviromental sound, you need to use a programme called AutoEA. It can be found in your start menue, and more than likely in AudioHQ tab. When you start this programme, a box will pop up, and maybe minimize. It creates an ICON on your task bar (in the bottom right cluster). If it happens to minimize, double click that icon, and it will pop right up onto the screen.

Once you have the programme, you will notice
It has two tabs; one that says "Configure Link", and one that says "Options". in the configure tab, there is a selection section that says "Applications", then there is "...", and then a big red X. The applications are the programmes you want AutoEA to monitor (in your case, the programme you are recording your audio with).

To get your programme you are recording to appear in that box, click the "..." button directly to the right of it, and find the .EXE file of your programme. say that I record with wave studio, I would look through my files and find CTWAVE32.EXE (make sure its the EXE (executable) file).

After you've found that, and it is selected int eh drop down box (Application box), you can choose the "Linked Supter Enviroment" towards the bottom. once that is selected, you should be set.

when you are recording, be sure to keep the AUTO EA programme on TOP of what you are doing.

Any other Questions, feel free to e-mail me...I'll do my best to answer them.
