What are some really good plug-ins and programs to generate some really cool effects?Stuff like fire, smoke, water, energy pulses and other cool effects. THNX!  |

Aftereffects and 3d studio max. Aftereffects will add stuff like fog ,rain ,snow,etc. They even have a fire plug-in from borisfx that works with it. You can get that free from borisfx.com , but you need aftereffects first. 3dmax will let you make 3d objects you can add to your footage and also other things like shockwaves, fairy dust etc. Also aftereffects is great for blue or green screening. Good luck. There are some guys on this board working on a program called AlamDV that lets you do light sabers and muzzle flashes and it looks real good too. |

lol, at first glance i thought it said SEX plugins.in that case, "plug it in, plug it in!" heheh.
be prepared to shell out a lot of cash...plugins are pricy, but are well worth it.
3dsmax has a ton!

A cheaper alternative is Illusion. About $200 bucks. Don't know the website, though.
