Topic: over 650MB on CD?

i heard if you burn a VCD with nero it can be over 650mb as long as it is under 74 mins, how does it do this? |

It is using the same track as audio CD. CDs have to two different tracks - an audio CD uses a different one than the data track where a computer application is stored. Thats why you see CDs that are 650/74 min and 700/80 min. I always buy 80 min even though they cost a little more because it lets me fit 6 more minutes of music when I make a mix, or 50 mb more data. |

All Nero does is compresses your darn files so that they all fit. This can also lead to music being cut off at the end of trax, files being corrupt etc etc. And whats this crap about two trax!?! Audio and data??! Audio is data, just encoded differently in formats cd players can read. If you really want to cram away, get a blank DVD cd! You'll be burning stuff on the same CD till' the cows come home!Slippery Glue Productions (tomorrows films, today) |
