Topic: recording video from the computer with no video out

is this theoretically possible? i have no video oout on my card (me being a dumbass.) if i connected the s-video cables from the camera, to the card, then ran a line out into the camera and recorded, would it work? i cant find my svideo cable, so i cant try it. |

there is an output card, that is external, and you hook it up to the moniter and whatever the moniter sees can be recorded onto a VCR, so just play the video FULLSCREEN.

Connecting a cord to the video in of any piece of equipment isn't going to give you an output signal, as you discovered.  You can try to video tape by pointing the camera at the monitor (as has been suggested here before) but even if you manage to match up the frame rate to avoid flickering, you aren't going to like the image quality you get. In theory you could playback a single frame at a time and shoot a single frame (if your camera is set up to do that), and advance a frame at a time but that would be insanely tedious for even a short sequence. Your options are limited:[list]
External output device
Buying a new, decent video card
Recording the footage on one or more CD's and having someone else output it for you using their computer.[list]------------------
