Hi People

I'm currently editing a travel video...
and throughout the whole thing...there is this, crack, hiss, pop )) playing throughout the soundtrack.
Now, i'm not using any sound from the location....it's just the clips.
all the songs i'm using, are from a CD. with the right bit rates, etc, etc
I'm using premiere to edit...any ideas as to what might be causing this problem?

thanks again
paddy

A dirty CD player, scratched disk, or not enough system resouces available. When you are trying to do this, do you have the internet turned on?

What would the internet connection have to do with it?
the soundtracks are perfect...recorded wise anyway )) it's almost like it's the footage...but there is no sound files with
the footage...I dumped it and put in a new soundtrack.
it's not all the way through...it comes and goes.

any idea as to what is causing it?

thanks

That's really odd... did you record it from CD to WAV? Perhaps something went wrong there...

do you mean you captured the audio from your CD through your CD-ROM? in that case the speed of the CD-ROM makes all the difference. i've used a program like CD-DA Extractor and my better computer with faster CD-ROM captured fine, but the computer with slower CD-ROM had lots of blips in the recording.
