I currently own a copy of Media Studio Pro 5.2 from Ulead, and am thinking of turning it in for premier 5.1 would this be a wise move? I know a lot about MSP, but hardly anything about premier all I know, is that it is supposedly "The best" (for a small budget! :-) ) anyway, could some one please do a run down on both programs or tell me where I can find one.

Thanks,
MovieDirector.

In my mind premiere is the best you can do on a low budget. Ive never used MSP however.

I have used both and find MSP 5.2 much easier to use,it also offers the same features as premiere and overall is a much better editing package.

Its chromakey overlay features are way better than premiere.

Premiere is slightly better due to more people supporting it because it creates the industry standard. BUT since you are experienced with MSP you can do a ton more on MSP than you can do with Premiere. So I would stick with MSP because your experience with it is probably much more valuable than anything Premiere has over MSP.

Premiere is wicked to easy to pick up the basic and then takes a while to master. What i would do is get premiere and start playing with it, but edit your movies on MSP. Do test and stuff with premiere. Get comforatble with it. It cant hurt to have to programs, as I am sure one can do one thing better, while the other can do somthing else better. The more you know the better.
