Ok, I brought in a cgi sequence into premiere (*.avi) and a sound (*.wav). I mixed the 2 and tried exporting it as an *.avi. What gives? At first it said that it might not support the size (it was 320x240) so I blew it up to 640x480. But it still did not work!

The error I get is,

"An error ocurred while making this movie.
Codec compression error.

This codec may be unable to support the requested frame size, or there may be a hardware or memory problem."

Weird no?

I am just takng a guess, but windows has a 2gig limit on video files, I don't know how big your file is but maybe that is what they are talking about. Maybe try switching the codecs in the video settings window. Maybe the one you are using doesn't line up with avi. AS I stated, just a guess.

most codecs won't render in 4:3 pixel ratio because it would mean pixels are square, but on an NTSC TV pixels are rectanges. So try rendering in 720x480, or 352x240
