This is probably a no-brainer, but I just got the program. I want to superimpose a clip with a solid black background into a larger clip. I already know how to make the clip smaller and move inside the larger clip. What I want to know is how do I remove the solid black background from the larger clip? Do you do some kind of chromakeying? Please give some specific instruction. I am currently muttering my way through a tutorial book on the program, but I am having some trouble finding what I am looking for. Thanx.------------------

If the black isn't distorted at all (it's all one shade). Try the linear color key, and select the black. |

depending on how you want it to key you might want to try tranfer mode instead. choose the layer and try the tranfer mode SCREEN.COS |

make the layer show in the main moniter, select the layer, right click > effects > Keying > Color Key, then chppse your color, and adjust to make it go away------------------
