I'm going to do some stop-motion animation with clay and capture it with my camcorder to Premiere. So far the only way i can do it is by importing the AVI and selecting the appropriate frames (there are of course hundreds of similar frames for each frame i want to use due to the limitations of camcorders) and exporting those... to later import all the good frames in Premiere to make the actual animation. Is there no better way of doing this? Any stop motion or single frame capture utilities? |

Go to File>Capture>Stop Motion. Space bar captures one frame at a time. |

Okay, I've found a way to do this if anyone cares. In Premiere LE, you can do single frame capturing in capture settings, set frames per second at 1 and capture limit to 1 second. Simple, innit! |

I used to spend hours and hours on claymation with a video camcorder. Now that I have two capture cards, I could do a much better job, but I don't have much time for it anymore. I have a program called Winnov Videum and it can do stop motion and time-lapse video. It may not work with all video cards there are, but it's totally free at www.winnov.com. (I think) It's a pretty nifty little program and it's worth a try. This is my first time on the board... nifty place this is. Isaiah |
