why does adobe premiere always want to save averything as a project file, how can i save a movie as some other kind of file (i.e. filmstrip file) |

Hi,premiere will only save projects and layouts as project files. if you want to put the movie in a specific format, you need to export it. |

Or you can select one clip (or several by moving the yellow top bar thingy around the certain clips) and go, Make>Movie then you will find all the option you are looking for. If you are making filmstrips, make sure you're only getting what you NEED. Filmstrip files are pretty big. |

The reason why is because only the Premiere Project file will save all of the settings that can changed in Premiere. If you are going to make a filmstrip when you reimport back in you will have to reimport into the project you exported out of or start a new project. |
