I've always wanted to make a window pane to smash through, but have never had the time to do it. I even own some low melt resin I bought from Alcone Theatrical Supplies.
Lately, however, I've been entertaining doing the shot in the computer. I have a pretty decent physics simulation program for Lightwave 3d called "Impact", and have done a few simulations. I have yet to composite them in the scene, though.
I would love to see this technique done by someone, if they have the time.
Good luck!
I have been cut on "safe" breakaway glass, if you land on it or slide across it, it can and will cut you! I prefer to use tempered glass, but with that you risk getting it in your eyes! (and they do not heal well).
Treat all glass as such, remember, it's the simple gags that get you...
Play safe,
Nick

But I was kind of thinking of the kind you bake in cookie sheets. I've heard of doing it and was hoping for some details. Do you do it with sugar water? Any info appreciated.
