thx1138--you asked for it: I just tried a little bluescreening, with a Naboo ship model. Let me know if you like it! http://freeweb.pdq.net/smokin/bluescreen/naboo.mov |

Pretty cool if you ask me.How were you handling the ship moving? Were you doing that in premiere or after affects, or did you actually have something that moved the ship as you were recording? As a guess it looks like it was done in AE or in premiere. |

Wow that was super cool. I forgot momentarily what youd said in your post and while whatching it I thought it was animation and not a model. That was flawless the way it flew off into the distance like that. That was really cool. You HAVE TO put up a tutorial site for this one now. |

Thanks, THX! Flattery will get you everywhere--here's the tutorial: http://freeweb.pdq.net/smokin/bluescreen/ LordNikon: Take a look at the tutorial. I used Premiere, but the ship motion was probably not done the way you thought. --Darel |

Hmm,Well, I was close to one of my thoughts - my closest thought was that you had a camcorder on a tripod on dolly and recorded as you pulled the camera away from the ship. - similar concept, but different implementation. The way you did it, you almost really didn't need a blue screen - you could have done it with white just as easily, but I like the tutorial. Very cool! Thanks for another great addition!! |
