I have a short trailer that I'm making, and I need fast paced music. I've been downloading like crazy trying to find something that I liked and I came across the Scream 2 trailer.

Can you help me figure out where the background music from the trailer came from?

In case you haven't seen it, I uploaded a segment of it here. Even though it is an avi file, it is all sound.

Any help would be appreciated.

Okay. Bad news and more bad news. Bad news is, it isn't on the soundtrack. More? There is no score only cd. So unless you can get the song from the vhs to your comp, you are s#&* up a creek with out a paddle.
Sorry.

That's the mmusic from the Copycat soundtrack, I'm almost certain. Alot of trailers use music from different movies and such, so if you can get your hands on that, then you're set.

Use music from other movies without getting into any copyright issue?

Sorry. They gotta go thru copywrite junk too. They still have to sign papers and write checks like the rest of us. Hollywood types afford that junk, though.
Oh and yeah, movie themes totally get around and are used in other movie trailers all the time. The Dragonheart theme has been used in at least four other completely diffrent movie tralers. Wierd, huh? Well, the Dragonheart soundtrack writer is loving it! :-)

I'm not exactly sure what your looking for, but I know that the Crimson Tide soundtrack has some fast-paced, action music that has been used in many trailers (Armageddon comes to mind). I believe on the CD it's track #5.

All times are ET (US)
