Where on the net would you find Wav files for a knife sound effect. I need two types, a blade sound, not hitting another blade, but being scraped quickly across wall, or through wood, or against metal. In this case most ANY knife sounds would be appreciated. The second type I need is stabbing sounds, like a blade ripping through clothes and into flesh, or like blood quickly splattering against a wall. Thanks to you all.

I think the quickest and easiest way would be to do them yourself. You'll have better control of the sound that way. I think the knife against the wall should be a no brainer. As for the stabbing, take a trip back to the golden age of radio and do what they did: Stab a potato. It's got a lovely thick "Squnchy" sound. I think they still use it today. As for blood spattering on a wall, try shooting a wall with a supersoaker. Or, if you or someone you know is up for some avant-gard performance art, pee against a wall. This is actually better because it will give you a good long loop at the right velocity.

I suggest stabbing Letuce... it gives a more disgusting crunch. :P

try stabbing some diffrent fruits & stuff to get the sound effect YOU need like melons, potato, apples and stuff like that and if you have some sound editing program like CoolEditPro or likewise try to edit all the sounds together it might work (?)
to get the splatter effect throw some water-cornsyrup-mix (that flows like blood) on a wall or maybe just some water or likewise, and again you can try to edit them in some sound editing program if you have any.
or if you're lazy and don't want to do the sfx yourself try this one.. http://www.alcljudprod.se/start3.html
and press the (A-E)(F-J)(K-O)(P-T)(U-Z) links at the bottom and look for knife-sounds *S*
i hope this helps or gives you some new ideas.

i agree w/ beny but i would like to add my own personal opinion that a watermelon or cantelope would probably sound best because you would get the "juiciest" sounds

In the Psycho shower scene, I believe they used a Casaba Melon or something. Just my personal favorite.
