Does anyone know how to do a camera shake in AE? I am working on compositing an explosion over some digitized footage and I wanted to get that nice camera shake when the explosion goes off. I would rather simulate the shake than try to macth move the explosion to a real camera shake. Any help would be appreciated. |

That would probably done best as an in camera effect, but I did notice that the cinelook plug in for AE has a jitter function to make it look like a film reel is spooled improperly for projection. I'm not saying you should run out and buy cinelook for $500 but if you have it there you go.------------------ "I like to see things as I remember them, not as they were." -Bill Pullman "Lost Highway" |

Maybe just move the frame to the side and add a slight rotation every few frames. Keyframe the whole thing, so that it moves quickly from one side/angle to the opposite. You'd have to crop the frame somewhat, though, since a camera "shake" would reveal more information as it shook from one side to the other. Without it, you'd just be revealing a background color as the camera "shook". |

Try the motion tools, I have them with Premiere and I'm sure they're in AE |
