From what I've heard of a Super 8 camera, it runs on film and not cassettes like a camcorder. My question is: How would I incorporate digital effects into the strip?
Im asking because Im thinking about buying one and I wont if its not possible

Youd have to transfer it to video before you can "incorporate digital effects into the strip".

A cheap way to do this is buy a 30 dollar adapter for your camcorder that videos whats coming out of your projector. I havent tried it myself, but I hear it gives good results, and is much cheaper than a film to video conversion

Galaven,

To incorporate digital effects your going to have to add them after your film is processed as thx1138 stated.

The converter Ivan speaks of does work well if you have patience.

If your still shopping for a Super 8 camera, see if you can find a Nizo 6080 made by Braun. I had one and now regret selling it.

It's a durable camera that offers some nice effects, an excellent lens along with the rare option of using 200 ft. film cassettes.

Good luck,
Scott
