I'm looking to create a war movie.I need a mail order catalogue or website where i can purchase fake WWII weapons and items. Anybody know of such places? And I also need to know how to make really cool looking "safe" explosions.

Thanks. E-mail replies to me at wabuu@hotmail.com

Im not too sure about the guns, i know that there was talk about some company making airsoft replica's of the tommy gun, after the popularity of saving private ryan, but i havent heard much more about it. Other than that you could try make your own props.
For uniforms try www.reenactor.net
they have links and stuff that may be useful.
Seek out Mike Walling, he has some plans for air cannons, which can be used to simulate explosions.

Tokyo Marui is making the Thompson M1A1 electric. It is supposed to be a really nice gun, with alot of metal construction. Unless you have a big budget, and a long time to wait, I wouldn't depend on this gun though. It's probably going to cost a pretty penny, and isn't coming out till January 2000.
