Topic: Has anyone really used "CinelooK" ?

Has anyone really used "CinelooK" ? I've heard so much about this plusin for AE...but t is way to pricy...i wanna know if its work the money or effort to get.... Please note that i plan to shoot in DV...relase my final copy on vhs tape...so i dont need to worry about blow ups.....Thanks.....

I use Cinelook with AE and it is quite amazing if you're looking to get your video to look as much like film as possible. As far as it being worth the money...only if you really need it. I have a client who wants his music video to look like film, so I've created the CG at a 5:3 ratio (changed the live footage to this ratio later), added the "letterbox" look, turned off the white balance on the video camera, cut the frame rate to 24fps where possible, and of course, used Cinelook to add the film noise look. Turning out quite nicely, but still not near fully complete. |

yesindeed, very great program, with great results, you can even change the colors, ie, to black and white, or to a 3 color range, like 1 for the lighter intensities, 1 for mid, and 1 for dark. but it takes an incredibly long time to render. make sure to have some time to spare. | |
