I need a cheap camera to film my movie, and i want one that will make it look unlike the home video things, but look more professional instead. Any ideas?
I also need to know a cheap video editing unit i could buy.

You could always get the Sony video camera that cost $225 from Cash Converters (yeah rite how much did they spend on editing??) Seriously though have a look at cash convertors, i got a video camera for about $275, but its VHS (low picture quality, but you can get good pictures still). Look around for cheap camera's but make sure they work and have some kind of warrenty. Most likely you will have trouble getting great professional looking shots from a consumer camera.

Editing?
Do you want to use ur computer? or just a couple of vcrs? If you have a good computer with a lot of RAM and hard drive space, then you can get and IOMEGA BUZ capture thing for about $350 from http://www.estore.com.au
