Tom Hanks is the best actor that ever lived. He was excellent in Saving Private Ryan. I saw that one at the cinema 3 times!

Well, I'd say this is turning into what we gamers call a flame war. Let's see if I can help. First of all asthal or whatever your name is, I'd mock you for your opinions if you didnt have a good selection of favorite movies. Which shows you're not a typical idiot. And anyone who gave him hell for saying matrix was bad needs to back off. He's certainly entitled to his opinions, no matter how ignorant they seem to you or me. All in all, I think this whole thing is stupid and everyone needs to realize this. So let's be nice.

Let me answer this by a little song:
''If you're blue and you don't know
where to go to
why don't you go where fashion sits

......PUT IT ON THE RITZ!!!!!''

AHLSTAR, it's a pretty ignorant thing to say that if nobody likes the movies you like that they aren't a film maker...in fact it proves that you aren't. Stop ripping on everyone's choices just because they are not yours, how self involved is that!? In fact if you even took time to read the subject of this discussion you would've seen it was list five of YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES!!!!! Not FIVE of the all time best!!!! Sorry everyone else for this post but self involved ignorance sets me off. :-)

Ah, I am a new member and I like this already. Kwitcher, I like the general overflowing hate you have. It is funny. Ahlstar, you have to remember that the Matrix is the only good Comic Book movie to ever happen. Save the first 2 Batmans and the first Superman. The story was inventive and the action was anime. I agree with your movies except Close Encounters. It was way too long with too little happening to hold interest during replays. Also, I would say The Shining was a better Kubric (did I spell that right?) than Clockwork. Maybe I just don't like british stuff. I would now like to add to lists.

Army of Darkness (It must have been so much fun to make that movie.)

Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal (not my fav's but Hensen rocks.)

Thank you! I don't really have overflowing hate for....everyone...just those select few, (1), that are filled with overflowing stupidity and no sense of tact.
